HOW TO MANAGE AND RESOLVE CONFLICT?
Conflicts can occur in any organization when employees with different backgrounds and priorities work together. We need a special set of strategies, understanding, good communication and calm tempers to resolve and manage such conflicts.
INVESTIGATE THE ORIGIN AND SOURCE OF CONFLICT
The first step in resolving conflict is to clarify its source. Defining the cause of the conflict will enable to understand how the issue started. This can certainly be one of the most difficult aspects of managing conflict in the workplace. As with any disagreement, chances are that every person involved has their own perspective on what happened, and who is right.
TALK TO BOTH SIDES
Talk to both the parties separately, you may need to take notes on each person’s version of the conflict. Even if you are talking to the parties personally, you still need to have an impartial attitude so neither one feels as though you are taking sides. Sometimes you can also speak to both the parties together, although it’s good to avoid an initial discussion with both people at once. Ask each person what caused the conflict, if there have been past conflicts, and get everyone’s opinion. After talking to all the parties, you may need to discuss everything with relevant management members.
INVESTIGATE THE SITUATION
After listening to both the sides, take time and investigate the case. Do not come up with the final verdict, just after talking to both the parties. Have an individual conversation with all those who are involved. Dig deeper and find out more about the happenings, involved parties, the issues, and how people are feeling.
DETERMINE WAYS TO MEET THE COMMON GOAL
After you have investigated everything, you need to sit down with both the parties and discuss the common ways you can execute to meet the common goal. You need to listen, communicate and brainstorm together until you exhaust all options. Try managing and resolving the matter at hand.
AGREE ON THE BEST SOLUTION
After you are done with every step, you need to find ways to resolve the problem. Both parties need to develop conclusion on the best solution for the problem. And to agree on the best you need to find a common ground and identify the solutions which each party can live with.
FIND HOW TO AVOID SUCH CONFLICTS IN THE FUTURE
The solution you find to avoid future conflicts will heavily depend on the conflict you just resolved. Best way to avoid such conflicts is to keep employees at a distance from one another and having both agree to keep a professional attitude at work.

CONFLICT MANAGEMENT
Conflict is not a strange thing for people, it is inevitable in a person's day-to-day life. And when they happen we need to resolve and manage them in an effective manner, so we resolve it with conflict management. Conflict management is the practice of being able to identify handle conflicts sensibly, fairly, and efficiently.
STYLES OF CONFLICT MANGEMENT
Conflicts happens and there are some conflicts styles that is generally followed by a conflict manger.
COLLABORATING STYLE
In this style managers become partners or pair up with each other to achieve both of their goals. This is very effective style for complex scenarios. In this needs and wants of both the parties are considered. It is very helpful when you want both the sides to win, everyone leaves happy. This style is time-consuming; deadlines or projects may have to be delayed while solutions are found.
COMPETING STYLE
This approach may be appropriate for emergencies. In this style a conflict manager act in a very assertive way to achieve his or her own goals without seeking to cooperate with other employees. It can resolve disputes quickly, but there is a high chance of morale and productivity being lessened.
AVOIDING STYLE
This is used by the manager when he or she has no chance of winning. This aims to reduce conflict by ignoring it, removing the conflicted parties from the project they are in conflict over, deadlines are pushed, or people are also even reassigned to other departments. If it is used in wrong situations, there are chances that conflicts can become worse. Managers can seem incompetent if they overuse it because employees will think that manger is incapable of handling disagreements.
ACCOMMODATING STYLE
This style is about keeping the peace. It is simply about putting other parties needs before one's own. You allow them to win and get their way. It may seem weak but it can be best way to resolve a small conflict and move on with more important issues. By this style small disagreements can be handled quickly and easily.
COMPROMISING STYLE
This style takes out middle ground by asking both parties to give up few things so that a solution can be agreed upon. This is used when there is lack of time, or when a solution needs to happen, rather than be perfect. Managers who use this technique may burn up their employee's goodwill and be seen as he or she is unable to execute collaboration.
Conflict management and its styles are very useful, depending on the situation. Conflict is an unavoidable reality in the workplace, but smart organizations prepare their management with the proper conflict management skills to handle and resolve workplace conflicts quickly and peacefully.

Germans are very private people and it's not easy to make friends in Germany, but you can give them time to be comfortable and make friends.
PUTTING SMILE ON FACE
Putting on smile is very best and polite way to express yourself in public. A warm, genuine smile is a good way you can present yourself to the people. If you will talk to someone with a smile, it will look more positive and friendly. Just be careful not to overdo it, in other words, it should look sincere and friendly.

People in Germany are very helpful, and they expect help from their friends. You should not be lazy and help people like, you can offer cleaning up after the party. Also, at work place you should offer help to your co-workers.
RESPECT THEIR PRIVACY
Germans like to be very private, they don't talk about their lives in the first meeting. They take a lot of time to be comfortable and talk about their lives. You should avoid asking private questions like, how much they earn, about religion, or how much rent they are paying. Respect their privacy and let them be comfortable.
PUNCTUAL AND HONEST
Germans give a lot of importance to punctuality not only in professional life but also in friendship. You are expected to be on time on every event, if you are invited for an event or a party at 7 p.m., then you should arrive at that time, even if you are stuck with something very important or you have an urgent you should inform your friends about your situation.
People are expected to express their honest opinion every time. It seems a bit unfriendly, but is meant as a sign of respect. Even among friends, people respect each other's opinion. If you don't have time to help someone or to meet or to go out, then you just tell them so. People understand and respect it if you don't have time to do things together.
KEEP YOUR WORDS
You should keep your words in every circumstance, whether it is about meeting someone or doing something for the person you should do it without fail. Germans take your words very seriously, and they don't like when you don't do what you have said or change your mind at the last minute.
Also, never cancel an invitation you have accepted, unless something very bad happened to you.
ALWAYS ACCEPT AN INVITATION
If you really want to make friends, always accept invitations, even if you don't feel like going there. In such get together you meet a lot of people out of work and you can know people better. Meeting new people can lead to make new friends easily. Even if you have something urgent and you can't accept the invitation, then tell them politely that you can't accept the invitation with reason.
